Specific Objective
Our trust will strive to work for the benefit of the underprivileged children who are suffering from leukaemia and are unable to get the required treatment due to their financial constraints. The principal objective of the trust is to identify such needy and deprived children and provide them with guidance, financial and moral support irrespective of their community, caste, creed, religion or gender.
General Objective
- To undertake proper health education and early detection activities for leukaemia in various parts of the country.
- To carry out research in the field of leukaemia, especially paediatric leukaemia.
- To identify NGO partners in developed countries for undertaking projects of global importance jointly.
- To work for community development, especially in rural areas.
- To donate to institutions that share similar objectives.
- To help widows, orphans, indigent persons and to give relief to the poor and distressed at places the trustees may deem fit.
- To donate, provide and/or distribute articles of daily use and necessities for life such as food, clothing, books, medicines etc., among the poor and victims of natural calamities such as famine, epidemics, fire, flood, earthquake etc. Also, to offer donations and other assistance to institutions, establishments, or persons engaged in such relief work.
- To grant aid or assist other public charitable trusts or institutions.
- To promote, assist and/or maintain all activities by whatsoever carried on, or wherever carried in India in conformity with the objects of the Trust and as are conducive for advancement of any subject or objects of general public utility not involving/carrying on any activity for profit.
- To maintain relations with other social service institutions and trusts and to exchange useful programmes to assist and set up social service organizations.
- To combat the pollution menace.
- To collect funds and to receive and accept donations, grants, subscriptions, contributions and endowments and gifts of money, land, buildings, and other tangible assets from the public members and source, within as well as outside India.
This PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST is initiated by the founder trustees Mr. Abhijit Chakravorty and Mrs. Jayeeta Roy.
