One of the cornerstones of Aarush Memorial Trust's success has been its unwavering dedication to education. In terms of one of the objectives of the Trust to work for community development especially in rural areas, Aarush Memorial Trust had on 02.12.2021 launched its 1st ever envisioned project, "Nourishing Knowledge", an Educational- cum- Nutritional Project at Balitora Ramkrishna Sishu Vidyapith, Block: Santuri, Dist: Purulia, West Bengal, supporting 20 children belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society. We had selected these 20 children from Class-IV, presently all promoted to Class-VII, and have assured to support them till their higher studies.
These children have the spirit to learn, gain knowledge and be successful in life but due to the financial constraints of their parents they may include their name in the list of dropouts. However, to stop them from drop out and encourage them to continue with their studies we are providing coaching in all subjects for 6 days in a week along with daily nutritional tiffin for all 20 children.
The Trust has presently budgeted a total expenditure of Rs.12000/- p.m. (approx.) for all those 20 children which includes tution fees and daily nutritional tiffin. Hence, for each student the expenditure incurred by the Trust is Rs.7200/- per year for the current ongoing class-VI. Additional cost is also borne by the Trust for providing Reference Books and study materials to these students at intervals.
The sponsored Project “Nourishing Knowledge” has stepped into its 3 rd year and several queries regarding the project is making us to think to expand the present student capacity beyond 20 Nos.
